I thinks those reissues are pretty nice. I just read Shadowfires in the reissue. It had a great afterword, classic funny Dean Koontz, and the book was pretty good, too. It had a lot of DK themes - the plucky but threatened single woman, who pairs up with a mild mannered guy who turns out to be an ex-Marine special forces guy, an amoral bad guy who's a cop, and the usual page turning excitement. I don't think those are spoilers, btw, since they all happen right up front. Anyway, some of those titles seem pretty obscure, originally written under pseudonyms and whatnot, so good to see them available. Thanks for the heads up WW!
Men fight and lose the battle, and the thing that they fought for comes about in spite of defeat, and when it comes it turns out not to be what they meant, and other men have to fight for what they meant under another name. William Morris, as quoted by Roger L. Simon

Just picked this one up the other day for which to read at work with tomorrow night.

Sounds cool, i've really been digging this earlier books by Koontz. Shadowfires, Twilight Eyes, and Phantoms were excellent. Looking forward to The Eyes of Darkness.

Anybody go pick up the new copy of DEMON SEED? It came out yesterday, if anyone was paying attention...

I'm still waiting for the author afterword to be posted at the Official Site, but nothing yet. Let me know if anyone sees it before I do.

Sign up for Useless News and you'll get to read the new Afterwords months ahead of time. All you have to do is shoot Koontz an email. The DEMON SEED Afterword was hilarious.

So right you are. I'm not sure why I never did it before.

I just sent an email to dean@deankoontz.com asking to be added to the list for Useless News. Thanks for giving me a shove, Snowman.

I think I mentioned it a few times before. I thought you would eventually give in.

I'm confused. Useless News is not connected with or the same as the Newsletter? My copy of Demon Seed has a short afterword and he mentions a joke about Clint Eastwood. It's 2 paragraphs. So there is a new afterword than the Berkley 1997. Hmmm. I've read all the From the Author comments in the books section I think. The funniest of the whole group for me was where DK was writing that Japanese executive letters wanting him to respond about Hideaway.
I am inclined to believe in parallel worlds filled with darkbound Snow and Odd adventures.
